Our Fruit and Vegetable Share contains a seasonal variety of 6-7 produce items. There is an option to add on 1 dozen Certified Humane eggs. Each delivery, shares arrive in a pre-packed box ready for you to pick-up and take home.
Our Poultry Share contains 3 lbs of antibiotic- and hormone-free, frozen chicken and turkey. Members that sign up for the poultry share receive an insulated tote bag from The Common Market. The poultry will start to thaw once removed from the cooler at pickup, so we recommend placing your poultry in your bag, and then to refrigerator once you get home. Frozen product should stay frozen for 24 hours.
As a Farm Share Member, you become an important part of our commitment to purchase from our farmers year-round and improve local farm viability. Each season, our Procurement Team collaborates with our farmers to plan exactly which items will be in your share and what quantities we will need to meet our demand. Through crop planning, we are able to ensure a market for our farmers best seasonal product at a fair price to our customers.
Our full season includes 12 bi-weekly deliveries If you missed the deadline for the full season, we often will offer a pro-rated, 10-delivery option.
We have two payment options: a single payment upfront or 12 bi-weekly payments. You will choose your preferred method of payment when you get to the checkout page.
To help coordinate the deliveries of food every other week, we work with a Site Host at your Farm Share site - usually a good food advocate, someone involved in workplace wellness or food service - who is our point of contact, and available to answer questions from participants throughout the season. The Site Host will identify the optimal times for delivery and employee pickup and be present during employee pickup. If allowed by the organization's gift policy, the Site Host can receive a free share for their help with coordination.
With the exceptions of holidays, your pickup day, time and location will remain the same for the entire Farm Share season. We also email you every other week prior to your delivery as a reminder that Farm Share is coming! If you know you will be on vacation or out of town the day you have a pickup, you can have a friend come and pickup for you. The Common Market does not refund, replace, or give credit for missed shares.
It happens! And we have a solution. Each delivery, we send an extra Farm Share box to serve as the “Swap Box”. Place the item you’d like to swap into the box and trade it for another item that seems more appealing to you! Remember to place the entire quantity of the item into the Swap Box and remove the full quantity of the item you’re taking. For example, if you’re trading cucumbers for kale, place all of your cucumbers into the swap box, and remove the entire bunch of kale.
It happens! We ensure the freshest, highest quality items reach your sites — we take our food safety standards and commitment to quality seriously. Our warehouse teams hand pack your items to ensure they meet our standards. In the event that you do not feel satisfied with the items in your delivery, please email us immediately at firstname.lastname@example.org with a photograph of the items in question. We do not offer substitution items, but rather will issue credits when appropriate.
The Common Market Farm Share delivers on Wednesdays or Thursdays to the Philadelphia metropolitan area and we deliver to the NYC and DC metropolitan areas on Wednesdays. Site Hosts will indicate their delivery day and time preferences prior to the start of the Farm Share season. As a Member, you will be notified of all relevant pickup information such as your full pickup schedule, time, location, Site Host contact information, etc. before your first Farm Share pickup.
Anyone at a participating location! We have a number of pickup sites varying between private offices and public sites, from New York City to Washington, DC. If you don’t see your workplace, residential building, or a public location near you and would like to start a site, contact email@example.com.
Requests to cancel your subscription must be made 2 weeks prior to your next scheduled delivery.
